Training
Training the Young Horse - ZUZU'S PETALS
Zuzu came to W.H. in late February 2007. After a brief period of
settling and waiting out the bad weather, she was started on-line in
late April with Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

Gradually
introduced was the (bareback) rider, the saddle, and the bit. The
young horses all long-line, pony out on trails through water, and
jump obstacles before being backed.

On-line work with
a rider is confirmed before going solo.

A lot of
patience and consistency goes into starting the young horse. This
confirms a solid base with a relaxed, accepting horse for many years
to come.
Zuzu pictured below in June 2007. Doing great! - solid walk/trot/canter. Well balanced! A very nice riding horse...stay tuned for her show career beginning this fall!
